COMPLETED PROJECTS

01
Geylang @ Saigon, District 7, Vietnam
Geylang@Saigon in District 7 is a bold expansion from the city centre into a lush garden concept just minutes away. Designed with Maurene’s inside-out approach, the space uses recycled shipping containers, a greenhouse event area, vertical gardens, and water features to create a tropical sanctuary within urban Saigon.
Beyond aesthetics, the project integrates an eco-driven microclimate design—enhancing air quality and reconnecting people with nature—while blending the energy of the old city with a modern, sustainable dining experience.

02
Geylang @ Saigon, District 1, Vietnam
Geylang@Saigon in District 1 was created to bring authentic Singapore cuisine to Ho Chi Minh City, enhanced by immersive vertical gardens that create a tropical dining atmosphere.
Working with Nature Landscapes Singapore, Maurene integrated an eco-conscious design—using repurposed timber and microclimate strategies to improve air quality and bring nature indoors while promoting sustainability.
03

GUSA Exhibition 2013, Singapore
Maurene led the project end-to-end—developing the concept and managing construction from planning and plant selection to booth setup and final styling. She was deeply hands-on with materials and joinery details throughout.
By turning the exhibition booth into a garden oasis, she seamlessly integrated all sellable products into the design, making the space both immersive and commercially effective.
04

StarHub Courtyard, Singapore
Maurene reimagined a minimalist courtyard into a rich tropical jungle, personally crafting the concept and sourcing natural materials from Chiang Mai to achieve an authentic look and feel.
She transformed the flat space into a dynamic landscape—adding a 3-metre GFRC waterfall into an existing pond without structural alteration, and layering plants and rock elements to create a seamless natural illusion. The project also revived a neglected courtyard into a vibrant butterfly garden, blending colour, movement, and handcrafted features into a lively urban oasis.
05

360 Water Ski Park, Singapore
Cable skiing (or cable wakeboarding) is a system where riders are pulled by an overhead cable instead of a boat. For this project, Maurene developed the overall landscape concept—integrating timber decking, a functional plaza, and curated planting to enhance the environment while meeting NParks’ standards and client requirements.
The result is a well-balanced recreational space that blends sport, nature, and public usability.

“Doors” @ SingaPlural 2016, Singapore
“Doors” was a collaborative installation with Mediacorp, Interior Design Confederation Singapore, Singapore Institute of Landscape Architects, and Singapore Furniture Industries Council. It reimagined discarded doors as interactive design pieces, where each door revealed a unique scene—turning waste into an engaging, story-driven experience.
Maurene played a key role across the project, handling concept development, space planning, material selection, budgeting, project management, and hands-on planting during the final installation.
